The Triavium skating rink in Nijmegen.

Holland is famous for its windmills, its dykes, its painters and its skaters - and for its mahjong players of course, who travel all over the world to participate in as many tournaments as possible. But even more well-known are our national skate champions, who have won gold medals on the Olympic Games (Yvonne van Gennip, Ard Schenk) or the World Championship (Sven Kramer, Rintje Ritsma, Jaap Eden).

So, we thought: why not give the mahjong players who subscribe to the Golden Dragon Jubilee Tournament, the opportunity to try a real Dutch skating rink?
That’s why, for the tenth anniversary of the Golden Dragon, we decided to try a unique, new location: the Triavium in Nijmegen. The Triavium combines a modern congress centre with a covered skating rink (build in 2001).
Just report at the Golden Dragon desk in the Triavium on the Friday evening before the tournament and you will get a ticket for the skating rink for just €3,00 (normal prize €6,00). And you can enjoy skating in the beautiful location of the Nijmegen Triavium.

Rent-a-skate

You do not have skates of your own, or you just don’t feel like bringing them all the way to Nijmegen? No problem! You can hire them at the skating rink for about €6.

The skating rink is closed on saturday and sunday evenings.
